Extra host Mario Lopez made a stop in North Texas to film his popular entertainment and news show.
Lopez hosted the show from the brand new Omni hotel in downtown Dallas. Despite the cool temperatures, the show was filmed outside with the stunning downtown view behind.
There was also a live audience, much like when the show is filmed on location in Los Angeles or New York.
The Extra host was joined by Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban and the cast of the reincarnation of the hit show "Dallas."
Lopez didn't just jet in and out of town.
On Friday afternoon he headed on over to the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Dallas to talk about how he spent a lot of time at the club while growing up in San Diego.
While visiting with the kids, Lopez stressed the importance of exercise and leading a healthy lifestyle. Which will ring true for those kids who were also there who are participating in the Cowtown Cook Children's 5K in February.
Don't forget to tune into Extra from Dallas, tonight at 6:30pm on NBC 5.
