    Q Cinema has announced the return of its seasonal film series, beginning this month in Tarrant County.

    A film screening of The Green, which stars Jason Butler Harner as a gay school teacher accused of molesting a student, Cheyenne Jackson as his partner, Julia Ormond and Illeana Douglas is the first film of the festival.

    Q Cinema’s mission for the last 13 years has been to provide a voice for gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgender persons by presenting films, videos and live programs that not only represent the diversity of the community but educate, enlighten and entertain viewers.

    The Green screening starts at 8 p.m., August 24, at the Four Day Weekend Theater located at 312 Houston Street in downtown Fort Worth. Tickets are $10, $8 for students and are available at QCinema.org.
