11/25: Art Therapy

OFF THE RACK: If seas of shirts and skirts and dresses have already seeped from the influx of holiday advertisting to your once-peaceful slumber, know this: Chesley McLaren's cutesy art and previews of her 2010 collection are on display at 4th Wall Gallery. From McLaren's pen comes bubbles of color and shape that remind lovers of fashion why the possibilities of clothing get them giddy. Open until 6PM.

FINAL PUZZLE: Artist Ellen Frances Tuchman doesn't see patterns in everything. She sees that everything makes a pattern, and her exhibit of trinkets one could find in a bathroom drawer might get you to look twice while you clean up for family and friends. Out of My Mind is showing at Pan American Gallery, which closes in December. Open until 5:30PM.

PEACE SIGN: DC9 At Night reports that the bar-tastic Dallas outfit Dove Hunter is now a three-piece as guitarist Josh Daugherty is no longer with the band. What does one less guitar mean for an indie group that runs on classic rock adrenaline? For this one, the absence should encourage awareness of drummer Quincy Holloway's mad skills. Hear Chris Johnson of Telegraph Canyon play solo and catch a set by Chatterton before the new incarnation of Dove Hunter at Lola's Sixth. 10PM.
