10/15: Redneck Heaven

YOU MIGHT BE A REDNECK: A blue-collar comic trio rolls into Dallas tonight. Jeff Foxworthy, known for hosting “Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?” and mastering redneck jokes leads a crew of stand-up favorites into the American Airlines Center. Bill Engvall, who currently hosts “Country Fried Home Video” on CMT and the “Git-R-Done” expert Larry the Cable Guy toured the nation perfecting the retelling of redneck class a few years ago. Now their comic genius is hitting the AAC stage for a night of blue-collar laughs and country-livin’. The show starts at 8 p.m.

ROCKIN’ BENEFIT: Rock the Red Balloon with King Bucks and Counterfeit Radio – happening tonight at the House of Blues in Dallas. The King Bucks are local favorites frequenting the best venue stages throughout the metroplex. Tonight they lend their talent for country soul music to the HOB for a cause. The concert benefits the Children’s Medical Center with all proceeds getting donated to their Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders expansion. Doors open to the country jam session for children at 8 p.m. Tickets are $30. 

SPOOKTACULAR FAMILY THEATER: This Friday enjoy a family night at the theater. The Dallas Children’s Theater presents “The Curse of Castle Mongrew” at the Rosewood Center for Family Arts. The family friendly play circles around a young orphan sent to live with her uncle, who soon discovers the castle she now resides in is cursed! The show starts at 7:30 p.m. and runs through Halloween on Oct. 31.
