For the first time, three of the highest-profile wives in all of professional sports sit down together with NBC 5 anchor Meredith Land to share their personal stories in an interview to air Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 5, during NBC 5 News at 10 p.m.
Gene Jones, Ruth Ryan and Tiffany Cuban talk openly with Meredith Land about life with three of the best known team owners in the nation: Jerry Jones of the Dallas Cowboys, Nolan Ryan of the Texas Rangers and Mark Cuban of the Dallas Mavericks.
The three women rarely take part in television interviews and have never done an interview together.
“I’m struck by their openness,” said Land, “Gene Jones and Tiffany Cuban discuss gameday rituals and superstitions while Ruth Ryan talks about living with a baseball legend.”
The wives speak of family life and their roles as a wife and a part of the team business. They share their dreams for their children and grandchildren. Tiffany Cuban shares a funny side of husband Mark and how she has one of the most important jobs in the Cuban household.
“I asked all three to bring their championship rings to display and they did,” adds Land.
Land’s candid conversation with the trio took place inside the Dallas Museum of Art.
The exclusive interview will air on NBC 5 News at 10 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, following NBC's coverage of Super Bowl XLVI and the season premiere of The Voice.
