A South Texas police officer has chased a chicken across a road but the fowl managed to flee.
Freeport police posted video online of Officer Curtis Land trying to catch the chicken Monday night.
"He gave it his best Rocky Balboa impression but he lost sight of the bird around Church's Chicken restaurant," police said on Facebook.
Police said the fate of the chicken wasn't immediately known, after the bird dashed near some gas pumps and under a patrol vehicle before slipping away.
Authorities didn't immediately say who's believed to own the chicken.
Freeport is 60 miles south of Houston.
