Quarterback Jackson Dallas ran for two touchdowns and West Orange-Stark beat Celina 22-3 to win the Class 4A Division II championship Friday, denying the Bobcats' bid for a record ninth state title.

Dallas put West Orange-Stark in front for good on a 5-yard touchdown run midway through the second quarter on the way to the school's first title since back-to-back crowns in 1986-87.

West Orange-Stark (15-1) had lost its previous three title games, including a bid for a third straight crown in 1988. Gilmer beat West Orange-Stark for the championship last year.

Celina (15-1) couldn't do much on offense after quarterback Conner Pingleton was lost to an arm injury on the first series. Celina, appearing in its 11th title game, remained tied with Southlake Carroll with a record eight championships.

Jeremiah Shaw had 13 carries for 73 yards for West Orange-Stark, including a 21-yard touchdown that gave West Orange-Stark a 14-3 halftime lead.

West Orange-Stark took control with a 70-yard drive early in the third quarter, capped by Dallas' 23-yard scoring run and a 2-point conversion pass to Kentavious Miller for the final margin.

Celina's only points came on Brendan Duffey's 22-yard field goal for a 3-0 lead in the first quarter.

Caleb Knowles replaced Pingleton, a junior, and was just 4 of 16 for 68 yards and was sacked twice. Celina had just 212 total yards to 369 for West Orange-Stark.

Dallas had 39 yards rushing, including minus-20 yards included among four sacks. He was 10 of 16 for 139 yards. Keion Hancock had six catches for 70 yards.
