Staubach Gets Rangers First Pitch on Opening Day

Hall of Fame quarterback Roger Staubach will throw out the ceremonial first pitch for the Texas Rangers on opening day.

The Rangers play the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday, April 5.

A two-time Super Bowl winner with the Dallas Cowboys, Staubach is chairman of the North Texas Super Bowl XLV Host Committee. The Dallas area will play host to its first Super Bowl in February at Cowboys Stadium, next door to Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

Rangers president Nolan Ryan said the team wants to honor Staubach's role in bringing a Super Bowl to north Texas.
