While Torii Hunter might be coming, the Rangers have four players that could be going.
To arbitration, that is.
While Texas continues to pursue Hunter to be their everyday left-fielder in 2015, they also seem intent on keeping alive their staunch history of avoiding arbitration. They have until 11 p.m. Tuesday to tender contracts to their own players.
We’ll be shocked if offers aren’t made to three of the four players, including pitchers Alexi Ogando and Neftali Feliz, designated hitter Mitch Moreland. Utility man Adam Rosales is the fourth player.
Ogando pitched in only 27 games last season because of arm problems, but expects to be healthy and a viable rotation option in spring training.
Feliz will enter spring with the closer’s job. Moreland, played only 52 games before ankle surgery, but is the leading candidate to DH. Rosales hit .262 in 56 games in spot duty all over the field.
