Must-See Sports Moments of the Week: Aug. 14-20

Must-see moments from this week in sports include an NFL player's parody music video, the worst missed putt ever and an NFL player defies physics to make a catch.

Friday

Von Miller Sings 'Start Me'

Broncos edge rusher Von Miller went to a lot of trouble to ask you to start him in the recently released Madden 17 game. Please do so he won't be tempted to make another music video.

Worst Missed Putt Ever

[[390694552,C]]

It hurts to miss that one. Japan's Haru Nomura is obviously a good enough golfer to qualify for the Olympics, but she looked like your average Putt-Putt visitor when she missed a 4-inch putt for par Thursday.

WR Overcomes Physics To Make Catch

Of course the ref thought Steelers wide receiver Sammy Coates caught that Landry Jones pass out of bounds. Getting both feet down would have been impossible...or not.

Former Horned Frog Badly Wants 2 Points

Former TCU quarterback and current Seahawks roster hopeful Trevone Boykin really wanted that two-point conversion in Thursday night's game. And the Vikings made him earn it.

Thursday

The Force or What?

Did Cubs reliever Travis Wood use the force to move a foul ball headed toward him during Wednesday night's game? No, he just let it hit him in the leg and act like he didn't even notice.

As If Grand Slams Weren't Hard Enough

Some people have trouble walking and chewing gum at the same time. White Sox outfielder Adam Eaton wanted the world to know he could do both and more when he hit a grand slam while blowing a bubble Wednesday night.

Pre-Fight Water Bottle Fight

**WARNING: Graphic language***

Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz seem to dislike each other. After battling verbally during their pre-UFC 202 news conference, the two started this amazing water bottle fight.

Toddler Invents Fun Game

It took way too long for someone to invent the game 16-month-old Australian Sam Blewett did. Admit it, you're planning to play this at some point today.

Wednesday

Unfortunate Bat Flip

Kia Tigers hitter Lee Bum-Ho hit an umpire with a questionable bat flip after taking a walk. It appeared to be accidental, but the umpire was not amused.

Another Olympic Diver Belly Flops

[[390418511,C]]

Ilia Zakharov probably won't carry his title of reigning Olympic champion in the 3-meter springboard over to the 2020 games after that "dive."

Slightly Overplayed

Reds outfielder Tyler Holt went a little too all out, sliding past a ball hit by Ichiro that turned into a triple Tuesday night.

Hurdler Has Trouble Hurdling

[[390418761,C]]

Haitian hurdler Jeffrey Julmis took a painful-looking tumble on the his first hurdle of the Olympics. Credit to Julmis, though, for getting up and finishing the race.

Fancy Foul Ball Catch

Impressive isn't the word for the catch Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo made on a foul ball during Tuesday night's game against the Brewers. It was one of the cooler catches of the season so far, though.

Tuesday

Little Too Much Splash

[[390284532,C]]

Malaysian diver Ahmad Amsyar Azman would probably like to have that one back. His final belly flop-- err, dive in the 3-meter springboard appeared to be doomed from the start.

Rubik's Cubs Solver Beats Usain Bolt

Usain Bolt won the gold medal in the 100 meters Sunday, but he didn't beat Anthony Brooks. Bolt had no chance against Brooks, who solved a Rubik’s Cube well before Bolt solved the 100 meters.

Andrus v. Beltre Vol. 1,000

Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus and third baseman Adrian Beltre must be brothers, because they seem to take great joy in antagonizing each other. During Monday's game against the A's, Andrus went behind Beltre, called for the ball and nearly bumped into him.

Andrus v. Beltre Vol. 1,001 [[390285022,C]]

Since Beltre hit the grand slam that led the Rangers beat the A's 5-2 Monday night, Andrus and Rougned Odor decided to give him the customary postgame bath. Beltre and his broomstick were having no part of it, though.

Monday

Effective Fighting Punishment

Little Leaguer Destroys Ball

Rhode Island's Colin Lemieux crushed a pitch during his team's 5-1 win to qualify for the Little League World Series. Decent bat flip by the 12 year old, too.

Rookie Mistake

Dan Orlovsky can feel a little better about himself now that another quarterback ran out the back of his own endzone. At least Cleveland's Cody Kessler can say he was playing in his first NFL game that happened to be a preseason game.

World's Longest BMX Backflip

BMX rider Kevin Robinson, 44, set the record for the the longest power-assisted bicycle backflip Saturday. Robinson nailed the 84-foot flip on his second attempt. That first attempt could be quite a video.
