Jason Richardson is Going to London

Richardson places second in 110-meter hurdles and wins trip to London

Cedar Hill's Jason Richardson, the reigning world champion, placed second in the 100-meter hurdle finalsat the U.S. track trials Saturday.

Aries Merritt posted the best time in the world this year, winning in 12.93 seconds for a place on the Olympic team.

Richardson, was second in 12.98 and Jeffrey Porter finished third in 13.08 to round out the team for the London Games. David Oliver, the bronze medalist in Beijing, finished fifth.

Liu Xiang of China ran the hurdles in 12.97 seconds in May, the fastest time before Merritt's finish at Hayward Field on Saturday.

Richardson makes his Olympic debut with his trip to London.
