Despite being left out of the starting lineup for the Ivory Coast World Cup match against Portugal, Didier Drogba got some game time as a late substitute.
Drogba broke his right arm in a warm-up match on June 4 and underwent surgery. He has since missed several training sessions rehabbing, but was cleared to play by FIFA with a cast on his arm.
Before he was cleared to play, the lightweight cast was examined by the match referee and Portuguese team officials. Drogba came in at the 66th-minute.
Ivory Coast tied Portugal 0-0 during Tuesdays game.
