Pride unofficial started his music career in the late 1950s as a ballplayer with the Negro America League's Memphis Red Sox while signing and playing guitar on the team bus between ballparks.

For Game 5, Hall of Famer and 284-game winner Ferguson Jenkins will throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Jenkins pitched for the Rangers from 1974-75 and 1978-81. In 1974, he set club records with 25 wins, 328.1 innings, and 29 complete games. He was elected to the Rangers Baseball Hall of Fame in 2004.
During the 7th inning stretch, Mollie Corbett, whose husband Charlie is a Technical Sergeant with the US Air Force, will sing God Bless America.
The Texas Rangers are facing the San Francisco Giants in the game that has the Rangers playing elimination ball. With a loss, the season is over and the Giants win the 106th World Series. With a win, the series returns to San Francisco with a 3-2 Giants lead.
