On the heels of an overwhelming victory in the Wisconsin Republican primary, the presidential campaign for Sen. Ted Cruz, R-TX, announced Friday it raised more than $12.5 million in the month of March.
That is the most the campaign has raised during any one month so far.
The Cruz campaign received nearly 240,000 donations in March, with an average donation of $52. To date, the Cruz campaign has collected more than $78 million in donations from more than 450,000 donors.
"This is yet another sign that conservatives are coalescing behind our campaign," said Cruz. "The path to victory in the nomination and winning the general election is by standing up for hardworking men and women of America who have been left behind by Washington. I am confident in this campaign's ability to bring together all factions of the Republican Party, as we continue to unite Republicans, Independents, Libertarians and Americans who care about our future."
