Authorities reopened northbound Interstate 35W Fort Worth after a wreck forced them to shut it down for nearly an hour Wednesday morning.
Authorities said an SUV collided with a vehicle and then spun out of control on I-35W near Basswood Boulevard at about 5:40 a.m. Police said a pickup truck then crashed into the SUV.
A child in the SUV was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not considered life threatening, according to Fort Worth Police Department spokeswoman Natosha Tucker. Four other were treated at the scene and released
As of 7 a.m., traffic was forced to exit I-35W at Western Center Boulevard. The exit to Basswood Boulevard remained closed.
The wreck also caused onlooker delays on southbound I-35W and North Loop 820.
