Westbound Interstate 20 is shut down near Lumley Road in Mesquite until noon after an 18-wheeler crash.
Mesquite Fire Department official Kelly Turner said an 18-wheeler transporting water blew a tire and crashed into the guardrail. The vehicle caught fire, but the driver escaped without injury, Turner said.
Some eastbound lanes were closed, but they have since reopened.
