Vandal Delays Restaurant Opening in Dallas Park

There's been a little more trouble at Dallas' urban Main Street Garden.

A new restaurant, the Lily Pad Cafe, was supposed to open on Tuesday but was delayed due to vandalism.

Sometime Monday night, someone kicked in the bathroom door at the cafe.  Officials said the restaurant can't open until the door is fixed.

Investigators said the park is surrounded by Dallas Police Department cameras and hope to find footage of the vandal soon.

The park recently made news because the playground equipment on the toddler lot, made of stainless steel, was getting too hot under the Texas sun for children to play upon.

An second grand opening date for the cafe has not yet been announced.
