Valets Robbed in Dallas

Thousands of dollars and employee cell phones stolen

Dallas police are searching for three masked thieves who stole thousands of dollars and cell phones from a parking valet office on Sunday.

It happened in the 3600-block of Cedar Springs Road around 1:30 a.m.

The workers said the three robbers ran to a side door, then up the stairs to a second floor office where the employees were. The men demanded money and asked the manager to open the safe.

Valet Martin Scott was on his way to the office at the end of his shift. He said his manager was shaken up about having guns pointed at him.

"All he noticed was the barrel in front of him literally pointing it at him," Scott said. "Another guy said he was knocking on the back of his head with the metal gun and he said those weren't fake guns you could tell because of the size of the barrel was so different."

No one was physically injured. But the company is now looking into new safety precautions.
