Man Questioned in Underwear-Mask Robbery

Dallas police have questioned a man suspected of wearing underwear over his head and a dress to rob an Exxon Tigermart in Dallas last week.

Detectives interviewed the man Tuesday and released him pending further investigation.

As reported in an earlier version of this story, Dallas police had released the man's name and said he was charged with aggravated robbery in the oddly dressed incident on Lemmon Avenue and was being held on $100,000 bail.

Because police now say the man has been released, NBC DFW has removed the man's name from this story.

Surveillance video shows a man with his hand wrapped in part of the dress, pretending to aim a gun at the cashier. The cashier gives the man cash, and before he leaves, the bandit also robs another customer in line.

Senior Cpl. Kevin Janse said they questioned the man in part because of multiple viewer tips.
