A child has been removed from a home in Waxahachie after an apparent murder-suicide.
Waxahachie police discovered the male and the female dead Friday morning when they entered the home on the 100 block of Lake Park Avenue following reports of gunfire.
Police Chief Chuck Edge told the Waxahachie Daily Light that the child is fine, but the two dead people had apparent gunshot wounds.
Edge also said some gunshot rounds came out of the house in the direction of police as officers arrived. He said investigators don't know if officers were being targeted or if the rounds were meant for someone in the house.
Further details were not immediately available.
Waxahachie is 30 miles south of Dallas.
