This Bites, Literally

“Twilight” teen fans opt for vampire fangs

“Twilight” fans have a new way to show their vampiric devotion to the movie and its head bloodsucker or suckers.

A local website recently ran a video report about teen fans — or at least one of them — who underwent a dental procedure to have fangs overlaid on her canine teeth. The overlays are called “vampire veneers,” and last anywhere from a couple of days to a couple of weeks.

The look comes across as semi-authentic, ya know, if vampires were semi-authentic, but the report excludes the price. No doubt it’s worth it to the kids, but the parents might have different ideas.

The subject of the report evidently had the veneers installed at least twice, once chronicled in the video and once, when she “got carried away and I really liked them so I put Super Glue on them. I don’t suggest you do that because it’s really hard to get off.”

Once the real thing bites into a victim’s neck, so’s the vampire.  Ba-dum-bomp.
