A Frisco police officer ends up chasing his own stolen truck after the suspected thief drives it right past him outside of Pizza Hut Park.

"I couldn't believe it. I was just like, you've got to be kidding me. I live an hour away and I'm thinking, 'How am I going to get home?'" the Frisco police veteran said.

After a brief chase and with the help of officers on the scene, Varney caught up to his truck and the driver.

James Herring, 22, now faces felony theft and evading charges.

The 1994 Chevy truck, loaded with power windows and an AM/FM cassette deck, was returned without any new scratches.

Obviously turning into a person who commits crimes shows your life went off track somewhere, which means you probably haven't had good luck EVER....and karma will always bite you in the ass. I'd say he got a little of both...
