Carrollton police continue to investigate the hit-and-run death of a man found in a drainage ditch last week.

Roberto Domingo Arancibia, 42, of Nicaragua, was found by a passer-by in the 1800 block of the northbound Interstate 35E frontage road on March 11.

Police spokesman Jon Stovall said some debris from the front of a car that was left at the scene is all investigators have.

"We believe that debris belongs to a 2006 Honda Civic that's possibly silver or gray," he said. "Right now, we'd like for anyone who might see a vehicle fitting that description that has some damage to the front right area of the vehicle to go ahead and call us."

Stovall said investigators also do not know much about Arancibia. They have yet to locate any family and are actively looking for anyone with more information on him.

Police said they believe Arancibia was hit sometime between March 10 and March 11.

Anyone with information on the case or on the victim is asked to call Detective B. Turner at 972-466-3307.
