A security patrol officer on a bicycle was struck by a vehicle and injured Friday evening in Downtown Dallas, police say.
Officers and medics were called about 8:30 p.m. to the intersection of Lamar Street and Ross Avenue.
The security officer, who is not a Dallas police officer, was transported to a hospital in unknown condition, although officials at the scene described the injuries as not life-threatening.
The driver stayed at the scene and spoke with police.
Police continue to investigate, and further details have not yet been released.
