Crews from Atmos Energy worked to repair a ruptured gas line that slowed traffic along the Dallas North Tollway Tuesday afternoon.
The break to the gas line was reported after a construction crew working in the area accidentally cut into a 6-inch line around noon.
"As a precaution, authorities have closed southbound Dallas Parkway at International Drive, just north of Spring Valley. Additionally, only two lanes are open on westbound Spring Valley between the Dallas North Tollway and Inwood Road. Likewise, the North Texas Tollway Authority has closed the southbound off ramp from the southbound Tollway to Spring Valley," the city of Farmers Branch said in a news release.
Officials with Atmos said the gas line was repaired at about 10 p.m.
There have been no evacuations associated with the breach.
