A resident of a Houston-area nursing home has been transported to a hospital following an apparent attack at the facility.
Harris County sheriff's deputies on Monday night were summoned to the Park Manor skilled nursing and rehabilitation center about an alleged assault. Investigators on Tuesday did not immediately respond to messages about the victim or whether anyone has been detained.
KPRC-TV reports investigators say two residents got into a fight and one used a heavy object to strike the other. KTRK-TV reports the victim allegedly was hit with some type of fitness equipment.
Messages left Tuesday with Park Manor were not immediately returned.
