The latest news from around North Texas.
Police are being tight-lipped about what they've discovered. The FBI is helping with the investigation.
Neighbors say they want more answers many of them are scared.
"We feel safe in this neighborhood. And you hear this and it's very scary," said Melissa Alvarez, who lives down the street. "It's pretty frightening. To know that it's so far, you know, from Grapevine to here. And that the investigation is connected to a house right behind our street."
NBC 5 spotted officers suited up in full-body white hazardous materials suits as they walked in and out of the house.
Neighbors also say plainclothes narcotics detectives were out early Sunday morning canvassing the street.
Witnesses say the home renters weren't home at the time the raid began, but they pulled up at about 8:00 Sunday night and were immediately approached by police.
"The homeowner just pulled up just before you got here," said neighbor Cory Mayabb. "And the cops took the lady out, they were questioning her over there by the light, and they had three officers questioning her, and then they had three officers questioning Tanner," he said, referring to one of the renters.
Mayabb said those two are new to the neighborhood, having moved in "about a year ago."
"I’ve only talked to Tanner one time. Because I have pit bulls and I saw him walking his, so I went over and petted his dogs and talked to him, he seemed like a cool dude," he said.
Witnesses say the two people being questioned by police were not in handcuffs or detained in any way. It appears they voluntarily agreed to go with police officers to another location for further questioning.
Mayabb says his family is afraid.
"There’s some crazy stuff going down over here tonight, you know?" he said. "My daughter asked me to stay at her friend's house tonight, she wanted no part of this. She's scared."
"And, you know, with it going on so close to our house, it's kind of hard not to be scared, you know?" he addded.
Late Sunday night Grapevine police told NBC 5 that due to the sensitive nature of the investigation, they aren't releasing more details at this time.
But police said they will have a new update Monday morning.
Body Found
The body was discovered on Sept. 14 in Oak Grove Park near Grapevine Lake.
Last Wednesday, officers responded at about 6:30 a.m. to the 1000 block of Oak Grove Loop South, where they made the gruesome discovery.
Police said the person had been partially dismembered and burned.
Officers wouldn't confirm if the person is a man or woman, but they confirm it's an adult.
"The body appears to have been set on fire, and the body has some degree of dismemberment," Grapevine Police Sgt. Robert Eberling said last week.
