Police Need Help Identifying Body Found in Shallow Grave

Man found was victim of homicidal violence

Homicide detectives are asking for help identifying a badly decomposed body found in a shallow grave in Oak Cliff Aug. 9.

So far, police have only learned the body was of a man who was either white or Hispanic and was between the age of 25 and 35.

Police said the person was a victim of homicide and had also suffered a recent head trauma that required the use of medical staples on three large lacerations on the top of the head.

Officials have not yet said how long the man had been deceased when his body was recovered from the shallow grave.

The man's body was found at about noon on Aug. 9 in a wooded area off Persimmon Road not far from Simpson-Stuart Road and Interstate 45.
