A 73-year-old Galveston County man has been arrested after authorities said he shot another man to death in the middle of the street.
The Galveston County Daily News reported that Wilmer Brillhart of San Leon was charged with murder on Saturday.
The Galveston County Sheriff's Department said Brillhart shot a 31-year-old man multiple times with a handgun. The victim died at the scene and his identity hasn't been released.
A department spokesman said the men had gotten into an altercation early in the day but it's unclear what started the fight.
Brillhart is being held at the county jail on $100,000 bond. Online jail records didn't indicate an attorney.
