Dallas fire crews said an overnight fire killed five dogs inside a home.

Firefighters were first called around 4:15 a.m. to the 3200 block of Urban Avenue. When they arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the home.

Firefighters said there were no human injuries but found five dogs dead inside the home.

Investigations said they did not yet know what started the fire.

The home is a total loss.
