Oak Cliff Celebrates Mardi Gras

Oak Cliff got into the Mardi Gras spirit Saturday.

The rain didn't stop people from coming out to the annual "Dash for the Beads" event in Oak Cliff Saturday morning.
 

Participants dressed in Mardi Gras costumes for the charitable walk run event. NBC 5's Jane McGarry emceed the event. The money raised will benefit Fidoakcliff, the organization wants to help build dog parks in the area.
 

On Sunday, the Bishop Arts District will host the 4th annual Mardi Gras Oak Cliff Parade & Crawfish Boil.  Organizers said the parade features 60 entries including the Sunset High School and Bishop Dunn marching bands.
