Mayor Mike Rawlings said Wednesday that he feels "kind of sleazy" after a news website published a recording of a 2015 meeting he had with a father-son duo who are trying to kick their tenants out of their West Dallas homes.
"I just participated in something that wasn't honest and authentic ... I was had," Rawlings said.
Any lack of authenticity wasn't on his part, he said. Rawlings stood by everything he said in the secretly recorded 54-minute meeting that was published online Wednesday in a Dallas Observer column.
