Man Struck, Killed By TRE Train in Dallas

Investigators with both the Dallas and DART police departments investigated the death of a man struck by a Trinity Railway Express train in Dallas Saturday evening.

Police told NBC 5 the TRE train was traveling westbound near the Market Center Station when it struck a man, who police believed to be homeless, at about 8:30 p.m.

The train was carrying as many as 70 people at the time when it fatally struck the 30-year-old man.

All passengers on board the train were interviewed, but a second train was called to transfer passengers to their destinations.

No further information was released.
