A man was sent to the hospital with a gunshot wound after a home invasion in Fort Worth, according to police.
Officers responded to the shooting at the La Jolla Apartments at 1412 Randol Crossing Lane at around 1:30 a.m Friday.
A 21-year-old man told police he was inside when he heard someone force their way through his front door. He then confronted the intruder, who was brandishing a firearm, police said. The intruder shot the man before running away on foot.
The victim was taken to a hospital where he was treated for a gunshot wound. Police said he is in stable condition.
The victim told police he believed he may know who the intruder is. Police were given a name, but no arrests have been made at the time of publishing.
