Dallas police are looking for a man that ran from police after a scuffle that ended with gunfire early Wednesday morning.

Dallas police told NBC 5 they were called out to Haverwood Lane after someone reported hearing gunshots.

Shortly after officers arrived at the Haverly Park apartments, police said they questioned a man they believed to be armed.

Police said when they began searching the man, a 9 mm pistol fell to the ground. According to police, the officers then got into a scuffle with the man as he reached for the weapon.

The officer then grabbed his own gun and fired one shot at the man as he ran away. Police do not believe the man was injured in the shooting.

None of the officers were injured in the scuffle.

Dallas police are questioning two men who were similarly dressed and resembled the man who ran from police.
