One jogger is dead after they were hit by a car Thursday evening while out on a run.
Officials said that at about 9 p.m. Thursday night, Phillip Hale and another jogger were running in the middle lane of Jupiter Road in Dallas, when a driver, headed north, collided with the runners at the 12600 block of Jupiter Road.
The driver of the 2013 Dodge Avenger immediately called 911 and checked on Hale and the other runner.
Officials said Dallas Fire Rescue arrived on the scene and transported Hale to Doctor’s Hospital where he died because of his injuries.
The other jogger was also hit by the car but did not suffer any serious injuries.
