Police said a homeowner fatally shot a man that broke into his Dallas house early Monday morning.
Dallas police said they responded to a home invasion call in the 2100 block of Hudspeth Avenue at about 2:30 a.m. and found the man dead.
According to investigators, the man broke into the victim's home and an exchange of gun fire followed.
The victim was able to escape the home and lock the man inside the home, according to police.
No further details have been released.
