Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Lynn Lunsford said a Beechcraft B35 aircraft took off from Cedar Mills Airport but quickly crashed into a home in the 300 block of Green Briar Road in Gordonville, about 85 miles north of Dallas.

Trooper Mark Tackett with the Texas Department of Public Safety said the engine and propeller came off the plane, which struck an unoccupied home. The plan then smashed a home's roof before landing near two propane tanks in the backyard.

Authorities said a woman on the plane was airlifted to a Plano hospital. Lunsford said the pilot was taken to Texoma Medical Center.

Two teens were treated at the scene, but not seriously hurt. No bystanders were injured.
