A Fort Worth police officer shot and injured a man when the man pointed a gun at the officer, officials say.[[396093891,R]]
The SWAT officer was attempting to serve an arrest warrant Wednesday evening at a residence on the 6000 block of Tallie Road.
When the officer went into the home, he encountered a man – not the person whom police had sought for the warrant – and that man pointed a gun toward the officer.
The officer shot the man, who was transported to a Fort Worth hospital in stable condition.
No officers were injured in the incident, and additional details on the person sought for the warrant have not been released.
