A large portion of the Dallas North Tollway was closed in Prosper Friday morning because of flooding.
The area near the Tollway and West First Street is known to flood because of the large field nearby that accumulates a lot of water.
Jennifer Kennedy, who works near the area, said a co-worker warned her about the flooding before she arrived.
"I had to go around the back roads of Prosper to get here," she said.
The road reopened at about 10:30 a.m., but Prosper police stationed two officers near the area to ensure it doesn't flood again.
Prosper police reminded residents to not drive through high water.
