Fort Worth Police Investigate Murder-Suicide

Police await medical examiner report to confirm murder-suicide

Fort Worth police are investigating a possible murder-suicide after responding to a shooting call Wednesday night.

Officer Sharron Neal, a police spokeswoman, said a resident of the home found the bodies of two roommates, a 44-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, after arriving home at about 6:30 p.m. .

The resident called 911 and Fort Worth police officers arrived at the home on the 1800 block of Two Hawks Drive a short time later to find medical personnel trying to resuscitate a man and a woman.

Paramedics were unable to save the pair, identified at this time only as boyfriend and girlfriend, who police said each suffered a gunshot wound to the head.

Police said four adults lived at the residence, none of whom were related to the couple.

Investigators said they believe the deaths are a result of a murder-suicide, though they are awaiting the report from the medical examiner to confirm that suspicion. They added that they are not searching for any additional people connected to the deaths and that a weapon was recovered at the home.

Police said the home was in disarray, but that there was no known history of domestic abuse and no note left behind. A motive has not yet been revealed.
