Dallas police arrested a man who they said sexually assaulted a woman last Saturday.
Cesar Gonzalez, 33, is being held at the Dallas County jail on a $100,000 bond after police tracked him by his truck and realized it matched the description the woman gave them.
The woman who reported the sexual assault called police at 4:30 a.m. last Saturday. She told police that she accepted a ride from a man driving a black Ford pickup truck who drove to a residential street near Lake June Road and North Prairie Creek Road.
There, the woman said, she was sexually assaulted in the truck. The woman added that during the assault the man said he was a Dallas or Dallas County officer.
The woman said she eventually was able to get out of the truck and record the license plate, which is how officers said they tracked and arrested Gonzalez.
Police said Gonzalez was previously arrested in Dec. 2010 for Impersonating a Public Servant, where he received five years probabtion.
