The northbound lanes of Interstate 35E south of Waxahachie have been closed due to a crash.

The Texas Department of Transportation said all lanes of I-35E are closed at Bigham road.  A big-rig involved in the crash caught fire, destroying the trailer and the contents inside.

The road was closed well into Thursday evening as crews continued to remove debris.

Drivers were told to take the Bigham Road exit west to Farm-to-Market Road 876 north until it intersects 35E north of the crash site, or Bigham Road east to U.S. 77 which runs parallel to I-35E until it splits off into Waxahachie.
