CareBears Pacifiers Sold in TX Recalled

No injuries or incidents have been reported

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and IDM Group are recalling thousands of CareBears pacifiers due to a choking hazard.

About 119,000 Care Bears pacifiers fail to meet federal safety standards. The nipples can separate from the base, posing a choking hazard to young children.

No injuries or incidents have been reported related to the pacifiers.

The pacifiers have CareBears figures on them and a TCFC copyright mark.

The recalled pacifiers retail for about $1 and were sold at various discount and dollar stores nationwide, including children’s apparel stores and consolidated stores from October 2009 through June 2012.

Anyone with one of these pacifiers should keep them away from children and contact IDM Group for a full refund. You can call them by phone (212) 686-5221 or visit the company’s website here: www.pacifierrecall.net.
