Burleson Police Need Help in Improper Photography Cases

The Burleson Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a man they say is taking photos up women's dresses and skirts without permission.

Officers said the man approached a woman and intentionally took a picture under her dress or skirt twice in the past few months. In both incidents, police said the man approached the women in an open area of the store, not in a bathroom or changing room.

"This is, I hate to say it, such a heinous crime," Burleson Police Department spokesman James Berge said. "It's very disturbing this man is preying on innocent people." [[312017761,C]]

The first incident occurred in March at the Burleson Walmart at 951 SW Wilshire Boulevard. The second occurred in June at a Sam's Club at 600 N. Burleson Boulevard.

Berge said one victim was 37-years-old, while the other was just 17, which concerns Sandra Puga, a mother who shops at the Burleson Walmart.

"I have girls, so that's even worse and they're teenagers," Puga said. "I mean that's just a pervert trying to go around and violate your privacy."

Berge said investigators think the man lives in the Burleson area and that there could be more unreported incidents.

"This is something that usually isn't done just one time. This is something that may have happened in other cities," he said. "There may be others that haven't reported it if they weren't sure what the situation was. We need to get a hold of this person." [[311733651,C]]

According to police, the man is in his 20s or 30s with a slender build.

Police asked that anyone who can identify the man in the pictures call Detective D. Feucht at 817-426-9926 or 817-426-9903, or submit an anonymous tip through Johnson County Crime Stoppers at 800-794-8477, 817-469-8477, online or by texting JCCS and the tip to 274637.
