American Airlines Teams Up With Uber

American Airlines has announced a partnership with ride-share service Uber, designed to make it easier for passengers to get to and from the airport.

The Fort Worth-based airline said the two companies will work together to provide faster service, airport navigation and promotions.

"By working together, we can provide a service that allows customers to request their Uber ride to the airport in step with their itinerary and know where to meet their Uber driver after their flight lands," said Scott Hinshaw, with American Airlines.

American has made changes to its website and smartphone app that remind passengers to request a ride and guide them to Uber pick-up locations at 11 major airports, including Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

American also announced that some customers will be eligible for discounts on Uber rides and bonus AAdvantage frequent flyer miles.
