American Airlines Flight From D/FW Diverted Due to Mechanical Issue

An American American flight from North Texas to Cincinnati was diverted to Little Rock Wednesday night due to a mechanical issue, the airline says.

Alexis Aran Coello, spokeswoman for the Fort Worth-based airline, said American Eagle Flight 3338 landed safely in Little Rock at 10:01 p.m. after departing Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport at 8:41 p.m.

Details about the mechanical issue have not yet been released, but officials said there was no smoke in the cabin.

There were 39 passengers and three crew members on board the plane, according to authorities.

All the passengers were provided hotel accommodations and rebooked on flights to Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport for Thursday morning.
