Firefighters in Haslet put out a residential fire Thursday morning at a home-based preschool.
According to the Haslet Fire Department, the fire started in the kitchen of a home on the 2900 block of Alliance Trail. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
Five students were in the home preschool at the time, all made it safely out of the home without injury.
The fire damaged the second floor and roof of the home, where a large hole was visible near the chimney stack.
