3 Adults, Child Injured in Crash During Police Chase: Sheriff's Office

Four people were injured overnight Sunday during a high-speed chase through Dallas, police say.[[374457111,R]]

Officers began chasing the driver just before midnight Monday, according to the Dallas County Sheriff's Office.

After reaching speeds of more than 100 mph, the driver crashed near the intersection of U.S. Highway 175 and E. Stark Road.

Four people were injured in the crash and hospitalized, including a young child who was not in a car seat. Three other adults, two female passengers and the male driver, were also injured.

Their conditions are not known.

NBC 5 has not yet confirmed the identities of the passengers or why the driver tried to elude police.

A dog found in the car, who was not injured, was taken to a local shelter.
