2 Hurt in Parker County Plane Crash

The Parker County Sheriff's Office confirms that two people have been hurt after a small plane crash near the Parker/Hood County line.

This happened just before 7 p.m. Saturday night about 30 minutes south of Downtown Weatherford. [[422184563, C]]

Texas State Troopers confirm that 2 men were on board the aircraft when it went down. They both were transported to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth. So far, names have not been released.

Texas State Troopers and the Federal Aviation Administration are also on scene, and will take over the investigation.

Lynn Lunsford with the F.A.A. confirms to NBC 5 that the plane was an experimental aircraft glider that was performing touch & go's when it crashed.

Initial reports after the crash indicated that the aircraft had heavy damage.

There is a small airport in the Driftwood Ranch neighborhood where the crash happened.
